(Las Vegas, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Jonathan Michaels, Senior VP for Strategic Development and Government Affairs at Sightline Payments, a Fintech company that specializes in the gaming industry, talked to SoloAzar about the participation of the company at the recent G2E Las Vegas show.

´We´ve launched our cashless technology here in Las Vegas:´ Jonathan Michaels, Sightline Payments

How are you living the experience of being in a face to face show again?
Well, there´s no substitution for this sort of environment, so previous to Sightline I have worked with the American Gaming Association for 7 years, who is one of the hosts of the show with Reed Exhibitions, and I just bring those teams all the credit for bringing us all together in Las Vegas this year.

What are the main novelties that you are showcasing at G2E?
Sightline Payments is a Fintech company that specializes in the gaming industry. There are really two main products that we have: The first one is our Play+ product. This has really grown up in the digital world in the United States, right along the growth of the online gaming and sports betting, or integrate it in early every online casino and sports betting operator nationally. And PLAY+ is really a debit solution where our customers may transfer funds to and from an account.

Certainly we are now talking about extending that digital enrollment to include more casinos. We've launched our cashless technology here in Las Vegas and resorts from Las Vegas as well.

And the other is JOIN'GO. That's a leading mobile loyalty app in the gaming industry. Nearly a hundred casinos nationally utilize it and it´s really a the strongest service to enable cashless payments and bring them to life on a casino floor. In several resorts in Las Vegas you can download Join'go App enrolling loyalty from your Play+account, you can check your word spellin, you can look into your account, you can make restaurant reservations. You can really try to use Join'Go and Play+ together to deliver an unparalell experience for your guests.

What are the main goals of the company for the rest of this year and 2022?
I think it is continuing to expand the importance of cashless payments technologies. During the pandemic we all got very used to using our phones to pay for everything, and in the gaming industry there should be no difference. My job is to talk about the safety, security and responsibility utilizing digital payments in the gaming environments, so here in G2E this week we met with about a dozen gaming regulators to talk about where we are going as a company, which is really exciting, getting nearby and understanding the questions they have. So I believe there's gonna be a number of addittional launches of our technologies at the casino properties in the US; and then later this year and the next year we are looking to launch in Canada as well, once that market is open to mobile sportsbetting.

Next show?
Definitely G2E next year. We're actually going to be sponsoring SBC North America, called the Player Protection Symposium. Responsible gaming is something we really take seriously, educating on the value and the ability for the digital payments to revolutionize responsible gaming by giving customers more control, that's really important, so we'll continue to be leaders accross that in the industry.
